[edit] Wikipedia toolbar with search box. This is a suggestion. Although all the toolbars that want to be added can be annoying the Google one actually gets used by me alot. 90% of the time it brings up a link to a Wikipedia page that is where I preffered to go. The thought is for Wikipedia to get into the act and cut out the middle men. I select something on the page and it appears (or I copy and paste it) in the wiki search window and wala I am on Wikipedia getting the info instead of looking for the Wikipedia link with the info. Just an idea to enhance this already awsome service. [edit] How long before I can use my new account to move a page from user space to wiki?I have a new account and have created an entry on my user space. When I hit the move button I received a message that my account was too new. How long will I have to wait? Thank you.

I'm not a computer programer, and I'm beyond frustrated at this point. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. — Senator2029 ║ talk 18:32, 20 November 2011 (UTC) [edit] Get rid of the Jimmy Wales picture headerI appreciate you need to raise money. I am also happy to donate. But please please, whoever got it into their head to include a picture of Jimmy Wales into every wikipedia page, has completely lost the plot. It doesnt matter how many marketing people tell you that this picture and its positioning on the page is the best way to get the appeal noticed, the end result is that this detracts from Wikipedias seriousness and smacks of very bad taste on the part of Jimmy Wales himself. And it isn't good enough for him to claim that the decision was not his and that therefore he is not responsible. Nobody buys that. The fact is that he and his supporters within the governing bodies of wikipedia have made an unaccountably bad decision to promote his face, his personality in a place where there should be no room for personality cults. Can you imagine if Google plastered its founder members photographs on their main search page and every search return page to promote this or that compaign. Can you imagine if Microsoft or any other major public resource were to engage in such a blatant and embarassing piece of personality cult promotion of their chairmen/women or founders. Wikipedia is a public resource that has grown well beyond Jimmy Wales, please do not treat it like it is the personal fiefdom of some kind of benevolent eastern european despot. Please I beg you do something about this right now.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.255.1.161 (talk) 12:55, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

The two redirect barnstars I've received contain the heading The Redirect Barnstar, which show up as the top two entries in the TOC. I'd like to keep both the headings appearing as they are, but not included in the table of contents, without stopping other headings appearing as normal. I expect that the formatting of the table itself is very kludgy so if anyone wants to redo that to be better while still making it not too difficult to add any new stuff then go for it. Cheers Thryduulf (talk) 16:46, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Ordem do Mérito CientificoGood Evening I would like inform you that the name of VIVALDO MOURA BISNETO its wrong. The correct name of de cientist is: VIVALDO MOURA NETO — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.15.44.114 (talk) 02:33, 6 December 2011 (UTC) This is a user page-specific area, and we can't really help you with that here. I would suggest going to the page and noting that in the 'discussions' area for the page. If wikipedia in America had a five dollar monthly subscription many students, teachers would insure this small investment in order for wikipedia's visual growth. I said 5 dollars because a student who pays for internet can afford this small monthly contribution to the site itself, and I am confident that they will considering it's up to date resources. [edit] Ribbon alternatesGenerally, I believe that barnstars are no big deal, however I use ribbon bars as a place to publically thank those who thought enough of me to send me the 'Stars. I have received three Anti-Vandal barnstars and, instead of putting three Ribbons on the bar (as it is right now) I'd prefer to use a distinguishing mark to identify that two awards were given. Either a Roman numeral 3 or a pair of bronze stars or something. Anyone with such a skill that would be kind enough to help would be appreciated, by me, greatly. [edit] User talk page / Two columnsIs there anyway to create a two column user talk page so that it reflects with my user page? Devin Davis (talk) 02:05, 14 January 2012 (UTC) EDIT: Like I know how to do it, but just so that I can get the right column, I have to close everything on the left column, ie </ table>, </ div>. If a user added a new section wouldn't it appear below the bounding box that I want it in? [edit] Summary Snap-Out On Hovering Over a LinkOk, I'll try and describe this with as few words as possible. Basically, I've been talking about this for years and every single person I mention this too agrees that it is a fantastic idea and cannot believe that it has not yet been implemented. Especially considering that all it would require is a tiny bit of code writing. It would then just be implemented as a feature of the Wiki layout. No new content even has to be written and it would completely change the way we surf wiki pages and would enable us to do it with far more ease. Ok, so if I have one complaint about using any Wiki pages, it is simply that I get bogged down in too many pages!! Example, I go and find a Wikipedia page discussing the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Asutria
I counted fourteen links to other Wikipedia pages in the first three lines of text, alone! The issue here, as I see it, is that when reading an article that is of interest, it is inevitable in almost all cases, that the article itself will have all kinds of words, phrases, names, places, etc., the collective basic knowledge of which is often crucial to the understanding of the primary article itself that you are attempting to read. So what happens with me, and pretty much everyone I've spoken to, is that although I try to be conservative about it, I can't help but ending up opening heaps and tons of new tabs from these links within the article. Then, I pop over to the new tab for just a moment to get an understanding of it and before I know it, without ever having gotten any clear understanding of what the Wikipedia page for Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria has to offer, it is two hours later and I am now reading about carbon deposits in the intake manifolds of 4-stroke internal combustion engines. Or something along those lines. So what I thought would be simply wonderful, just as my Subject line suggests, is that if you see a link in a Wiki article, simply hover over it with your mouse and a small snap-out window will expand, simply showing the summary section (or however much of the summary section would fit into a given amount of snap-out space) and underneath it, at the bottom of the snap-out window, would be a link to the actual article. Given that every wiki page ALREADY has a summary section and then goes on to have a table of contents followed by an organized layout of the rest of the article, this means that this feature would not require someone to go through all the wiki articles and write up summaries. That would make this project unfeasible. The fact of the matter is, the content is already there! With this feature, one wouldn't get lost in other tabs because you are able to stay on your primary page and only read the summary of the link to the words, phrases, names, places, etc.. You could then read the summary, most likely have that be a good enough explanation to continue on your way in the primary article and, if the summary was of particular interest to you, you could then choose to actually move over to its wikipedia page. I'm sorry this explanation was so long. I notice most people's requests are a line or two...then again, half the requests here are so random and don't even belong in this section. Which leads me to my next comment, being: If this request belongs elsewhere, please let me know. I would absolutely love to get this idea to the poeple who are responsible for the standard formatting and layout of the wiki template. I know this was most likely tl;dr but if you did, thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roritor (talk • contribs) 06:14, 25 January 2012 (UTC) [edit] Renovate My PagePLEASE Renovate my page, I need somebody to!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Computer5Genius (talk • contribs) 00:20, 26 January 2012 (UTC) [edit] Blossom Sisters FoundationBlossom Sisters Foundation (BSF) LLC is a Charitable Organization, started by the sisters in 2008 dedicated to building and enabling communities to participate in dance art programs who would otherwise not able to afford it.
