This page is for requesting that a page, image or template be fully protected, create protected (salted), semi-protected, move-protected, or unprotected. Please read up on the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection is usually used only to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. After a page has been protected, the protection is listed in the page history and logs with a short description indicating why it was protected, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. Further discussion should take place on the Talk page of the article. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins do not revert back to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.
If you would like to request a page to be protected or unprotected, please follow the following steps:
===={{la|Example Article Name}}====
'''Semi-protection:''' High level of IP vandalism. ~~~~
===={{lt|Example Template Name}}====
'''Temporary semi-protection:''' High level of IP vandalism. ~~~~

Temporary Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism and crude comments.--Egghead06 (talk) 16:31, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] W. E. B. Du Bois (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary Semi-protection: - Continual, long term vandalism, not especially frequent, but wearying. Also, article may be on main page 23 Feb, see WP:TFAR. --Noleander (talk) 16:27, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected Acalamari 16:29, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Multiple IPs edit warring against talk page consensus . Yobol (talk) 15:24, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for three weeks. Acalamari 15:29, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] FL Studio (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent addition of uncited information and information with false citations from numerous anonymous IP editors for the purpose of advertising/promoting musical artists. The page was protected before and as soon as it was unprotected, the ever-changing anonymous IPs started again and have continued ever since. There is an edit notice as well as huge comments in the source about adding verifiable information as well as information on the talk page, so there is little reason to assume most of these IP edits are in good faith, and they are disruptive regardless. —danhash (talk) 14:33, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Miss Universe 2011 (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Once again, IPs are adding unsourced info. GrayFullbuster (talk) 14:13, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] UFC 146 (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)

[edit] Mummy (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Contant Vandalism. GouramiWatcher (Gulp) 13:45, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 16:00, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Antonio Rivero (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Persistent IP edit warring. This is not a content dispute, the IP editor is repeatedly inserting false information into the article - note noted Argentine historian is quoted in the article debunking this information, the rebuttal which was removed. Wee Curry Monster talk 09:28, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Declined - Seems to be one IP inserting the information. Strongly suggest posting at AIV if it is vandalism or ANI. —Dark 09:36, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Far-left politics (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary full protection: This article is undergoing a slow motion edit war involving several editors, which is disrupting a split discussion since the split template is being removed along with the text. Can this page be protected for a couple of weeks until the discussion about a possible split be completed. Nug (talk) 09:05, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Declined - I have left a message to the warring parties. If they choose to edit war, they'll be blocked. —Dark 09:24, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Race and intelligence (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection Too much blanking of content by dynamic IPs. Mathsci (talk) 08:33, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for a period of three days. After three days the page will be automatically unprotected. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 16:01, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] List of people who have been called polymaths (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Permanent Semi-Protection is necessary since the temporary protection ran out, and once again, and IP address with no other edits ever, removed the same entry from the article. [1] Whoever this person is, they are not going to give up ever. Dream Focus 08:19, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for a period of 1 year. After 1 year the page will be automatically unprotected. —Dark 08:37, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Khojaly Massacre (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary full protection: 9 revisions in the past three days, and today 6 have happened, I request full protection for a week to halt users from revision warring until they can come to consensus on the talk page. Nocturnal781 (talk) 07:22, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Chemtrail conspiracy theory (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Permanent Semi-Protection IP and new-user edits are nearly 99% reverted for WP:FRINGE edits. Temp semi-protection previously attempted. Buffs (talk) 06:22, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for a period of five months. After five months the page will be automatically unprotected. Articles are very rarely semiprotected indefinitely, especially with as short of a protection history as this article. Ks0stm (T•C•G•E) 16:04, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Adrenaline Mob (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – persistent vandalism from random IPs. Tgeairn (talk) 05:11, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Tit (bird) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Almost all anonymous edits are vandalism. →Στc. 04:23, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. While you're correct activity is minimal enough that I can't justify protecting it. Ks0stm (T•C•G•E) 15:56, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] List of Little Einsteins episodes (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: Possible disruptive editing – I found lots of disruptive text, possibly in the episode descriptions; too hard to define as vandalism. Can somebody look into this please? Thank you. StormContent (talk) 03:15, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Hamed Haddadi (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection A user with multiple IP addresses insists on spelling center as centre, even though that makes no sense within the context of this article. The user has probably received about eight talk page messages across multiple IP talk pages. He's also ignored a series of hidden comments within the article itself. This has been going on for weeks. I highly doubt he is editing in good faith, and I'd like to see the page semi-protected for a while so that he loses interest. Zagalejo^^^ 02:42, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Persistent POV issues from both pro-Wahhab and anti-Wahhab sides. As shown in article history and as commented on on talk page, this has been going on for several years. ClaretAsh 00:22, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Khojaly Massacre (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-protection: Adding disputed information without discuss on the talk pag. Divot (talk) 21:43, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] John Fleming (U.S. politician) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary full protection: Content dispute/edit warring. SMS Talk 20:42, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Simon Harris (politician) (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary Semi-protection: Persistent recent vandalism by multiple IPs. Snappy (talk) 18:06, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for a period of 5 days. After 5 days the page will be automatically unprotected. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:10, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Results_of_the_2012_Republican_Party_presidential_primaries (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Semi-Protection: Persistent vandalism and unverified changes. Katydidit (talk) 15:56, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Parties in the European Council (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary full protection: Content dispute/edit warring – An editor doesn't want to admit that the Romanian president is member of the European People's Party although I gave him sufficient proofs. He keeps removing this information, which seems to be sensitive in the political context in Romania. Julien-223 (talk) 13:34, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Fully protected for a period of 3 days. After 3 days the page will be automatically unprotected. And the parties will be given some instruction on the article's talk page. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:02, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Thillai Nataraja Temple, Chidambaram (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Temporary semi-protection: I had reverted edits like these. The person who edited was blocked due to legal threatening. Now there has been a set of similar edits like these. I just don't want to get threatened again by this user. I have also asked for sock puppet investigation on this new user. I hope an admin might clear out these edits. Shriram (talk) 12:50, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Semi-protected for a period of 3 days. After 3 days the page will be automatically unprotected. Since it looks like the socks have been blocked, I'm setting this low at 3 days. However, if the person is determined and comes back for more socking after that point, let me know and I'll set it for much longer. Qwyrxian (talk) 08:55, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Current requests for unprotection
| Shortcuts: |
|---|
If you simply want to make spelling corrections or add information to a protected page that is not disputed, and you are not involved in any disputes there, consider simply adding {{Editprotected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. See the list of current {{Editprotected}} requests.
If you want an existing page unprotected, please try to ask the protecting admin first before making a request here.
Check here if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

[edit] Current requests for edits to a protected page
| Shortcut: |
|---|
- Ideally requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add {{Editprotected}}, {{Editsemiprotected}} or {{Request edit}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both locked, this project page is the right place to request an edit. If you can, please use the {{la|article name}} template to describe the article you wish changed at the start of your request.
The list on Wikipedia of doctoring professions should include Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy), Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy), and Nurse Practitioners (Doctor of Nursing Practice. This anti Physical Therapy, anti Pharmacy, anti Nursing bigotry has no place in a public encyclopedia like Wikipedia. The previous mentioned professions have become doctoring professions and deserved to mentioned as such. Currently someone or some other profession is using Wikipedia as a forum for their propaganda rather than give an accurate presentation of doctoring professions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.131.210.63 (talk) 15:44, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
